SK: Managing Director

Our respected Client, a leading European real estate investment, development, and management company, is seeking an accomplished professional to join as the Managing Director for their large and growing Slovak business.

The Managing Director is a strategic leader responsible for the oversight and performance of all business operations in Slovakia. The MD contributes to group-wide strategic initiatives, operational planning, and target setting.

Tasks

• Leadership and Strategic Direction: Lead the country team and represent senior management across all functional areas. Develop and execute strategies that enhance business growth and operational efficiency;
• Business Development and Stakeholder Engagement: Play an active role in business development by participating in negotiations with new tenants and maintaining relationships with existing ones. Develop and maintain a strong network of relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities, real estate brokers, tenants, and suppliers;
• Financial Management: Oversee the annual budget, financial planning, and pipeline management to achieve related P&L and KPIs. Work closely with the Country CFO to ensure financial targets are met and group reporting standards are maintained;
• Operational Oversight: Manage the operational aspects of the business including development, operations, and energy management. Ensure that the organizational structure and team dynamics align with the company's culture and strategic objectives.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Experience: At least 10 years in a leadership role with proven experience in business development or real estate sales;
• Education: University or Master's degree;
• Skills: Strong knowledge of the real estate market, excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in financial analysis and understanding of real estate investment principles. Strong organizational and project management skills are essential;
• Personal Attributes: High energy, resilience, and a "can do" attitude are critical. The ideal candidate should be capable of motivating a diverse team, managing varying market conditions, and demonstrating ownership for both successes and failures;
• Language Proficiency: Business-level English & Native Slovak.
