For the Headquarter located in Milan, Italy, we are seeking a Offshore Superintendent to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for offshore execution on all marine installation sites activities for submarine cable installation projects on an international scale as well as for office-based engineering work.
This role requires a balance of technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to adapt to different working environments.

Your Role
Offshore Operations:
- Oversee marine operations at installation sites, ensuring project implementation.
- Conduct activities aboard installation vessels and at various marine sites, including landing points and platforms.
- Collaborate with teams of varying sizes, tailored to the project’s scale and complexity.
- Manage a range of preliminary and main activities, such as: route clearance, PLGR, pre-lay burial runs, and vessel mobilization, cable loading, laying, burial using diverse tools, and pulling through HDD conduits or onto platforms.
- Cable repair and jointing.
- Ensure technical quality and compliance with project specifications and documentation.
- Maintain health and safety standards for all operational personnel.
- Manage company assets, including verification, operation, and maintenance of vessels, machinery, and equipment.
- Prepare and select installation assets, adhering to project constraints and specifications.
- Manage the operational schedule, client relations, subcontractor supervision, and report to internal departments.
- Perform detailed engineering for project-specific installations.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support submarine system projects.
- Assist in preparing installation manuals and subcontractor specifications.
- Engage with clients on technical, planning, and operational matters.
- Compile as-built documentation and final reports.
- A technical background in Engineering Technology or related fields is preferred.
- Preferable experience in submarine cable installation or the construction industry or construction or offshore industry is advantageous. Note that Prysmian provides specialized training within the Marine Operations department.
- The role involves significant international travel.
