Automation Testing Engineer

Summary:-

Test Analyst will be working on multiple goals/objectives to drive quality and testing execution for customers in the BFSI Segments.

ROLE: Senior Test automation engineer with experience in the Payments domain,

Experience- 5-8 years

Location- Chennai/ Pune

Mandatory Skill- Banking & Financial Services Experience

Primary Skills-

• 5 years of experience in automating various GUI/non-GUI-based applications using Selenium WebDriver and Java language
• Experience in at least one project implementing BDD (behavior-driven development) using Cucumber/Jbehave and CI (continuous integration) using Jenkins
• Experience in GIT, Bitbucket, Maven
• Experience in testing backend application components like SQL Server, Oracle database, middleware message queues(IBM MQ)
• Extensive experience in test automation framework design, development, and enhancement for at least 2 projects.
• Hands-on Experience in writing SQL queries
• Well-versed with data-driven Test Automation using MS Excel / XML / Database driven Tests
• Must have hands-on experience in writing scenarios and test cases from requirements & user stories
• Understand data structure, data interfaces, and how data flows and transforms from source systems to the downstream systems
• Understand the functionality Technology and be able to adapt into a techno-functional automation tester role
• Excellent communication skills – within and outside of the organization, across teams, with customers – both horizontally and vertically, is important.
• A good team player and ready to take up additional responsibilities when required.
  
  

Secondary Skills List

• Experience in working with global delivery models, leveraging cross-location distributed teams
• Knowledge of current industry-wide Quality & Test processes and practices, Tools, and techniques
• Experience in Test Management Tools like HP ALM / JIRA.
  
  

Responsibilities:-

• Exposure to popular test models in the market - Agile, V-Model, Waterfall approach
• Understand customer testing needs - current processes as well as future requirements around testing
• Is responsible for test scenarios & test case formulation and test data preparation
• Is responsible for all test automation-related activities right from test automation framework design, development, implementation automation planning & execution
• Is responsible for tracking Defect triage & closure
• Is technically responsible for all the Testing performed by the Testing Organization
• Is responsible for the overall Quality of deliverables across all parameters, both functional and non-functional including performance, security, usability, etc.
• Is responsible for ensuring the Test Frameworks & methodologies as recommended by the Test Architect / Test Lead are implemented in the project
