CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATION
Essential Duties
Coordinate with Administrative staff to address transportation needs
Hire, schedule, train, and evaluate staff
Ensure driver training and certification renewals are completed per Arizona Department of Transportation standards
Manage schedule of drivers, bus chaperones, and state vehicles
Individual positions may be responsible for some or all of the listed duties and other related duties
Knowledge Of
Policies, procedures, and programs of the immediate work unit.
Principles and practices of administration and management.
Agency or program rules, regulations, and operating procedures.
Federal and State laws regulating pupil transportation
Agency hiring practices and procedures
Software used to create reports, schedules, and route planning
SKILLED IN:
Time management
Judgement and decision making
Bus evacuation procedures
ABILITY TO:
Communicate information and ideas so others will understand
Plan, prioritize, and manage
Identify problems and provide solutions
SPECIAL CONDITIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to pass FBI and State background check.
Defensive Driver Training program to be completed by all Agency personnel that drive on State business
Valid Arizona Commercial Driver License with passenger and S endorsement
Must be able to pass post offer Physical
ASL (American Sign Language) skills if working with Deaf staff/students
Persons working directly with students must obtain CIT (Crisis Intervention Training), CPR, and First Aid Certification
