This individual will report to the Financial Reporting Manager and will be a significant contributor to the Financial Reporting function. This individual will collaborate with teams throughout the accounting and finance organization to ensure the timely and accurate completion of key reporting activities.
- Individual may also assist with certain month-end activities.
- Ideal candidate must have a strong accounting background, a good understanding of GAAP and SEC regulations and will possess excellent communication and writing skills.
- Candidate must also be attentive to details, and be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while working with cross-functional teams, including tax, corporate finance, technical accounting, treasury and legal.
- Candidate will develop strong working relationships with business partners and various levels of management.
- A key member of the Financial Reporting team, assist in preparing the periodic financial statements (Form 10-K and 10-Q), other SEC filings (e.g. 8-K) and internal management reporting packages
- Will format, and roll-forward SEC filings within our SEC reporting platform.
- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and documentation for SEC filings and ownership of tie-outs
- Prepare the face financial statements and supporting calculations and support
- Coordinate additional management documentation and other key control support
- Work with external auditors with their quarterly reviews and annual audits to ensure the 10Q/K is filed timely
- Ensure SOX compliance for processes related to financial reporting and disclosure controls; mitigate and remediate SOX compliance issues identified through internal and external audit processes
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to optimize the financial reporting process • Assist with ad-hoc or special projects as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- 3-5 years’ experience
- CPA license or parts passed
- Knowledge of of US GAAP, FASB pronouncements, and SEC rules and regulations and public company audit requirements
- Research and project management skills as well as presentation skills
- High level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, competing priorities
