Quality Engineer
Summary:
The Quality Engineer will report to the Quality Manager. The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the overall quality and reliability of all calibration, testing, inspection, and documentation programs. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, manufacturing, Purchasing and customer service, to drive continuous improvement and maintain product quality and commitment to excellence. The Quality Engineer plays a vital role in the monitoring and measuring of Vendor Performance and Customer Feedback.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Adhere to all requirements outlined in ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards, including quality policy, procedures, inspection plans, inspection sheets, and test procedures.
- Manage document control procedures and practices to guarantee compliance with internal and external requirements and specifications.
- Implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure testing compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with the engineering design team to review product drawings, BOMS, and routers, and provide input on quality improvements.
- Participate in the development and validation of new product designs, ensuring adherence to quality standards throughout the design and manufacturing process.
- Implement & maintain a robust monitoring and measuring of calibrated equipment process.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, generating reports highlighting areas for improvement.
- Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with quality management system requirements.
- Collaborate with Purchasing personnel and suppliers to establish and maintain robust quality assurance processes for incoming materials and components.
- Monitor and analyze customer claims and complaints to initiate quality alerts, and create process improvements.
- Provide technical support and training to production personnel, resolving quality-related issues and implementing quality programs and process improvements.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. A specialization in Quality Engineering is preferred.
- Proven experience (1-2 years) as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the power distribution or electrical equipment industry.
- Knowledge of quality management systems, methodologies, and tools (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, statistical analysis), and AS9100 applications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Etc.). Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
- Proficiency in quality inspection techniques, including measurement tools, equipment, and statistical analysis software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Continuous improvement mindset and a proactive approach to driving quality initiatives.
