Description
The Operations Specialist is responsible for performing the day-to-day functions at the Lenexa Data Center. These include inbound and outbound run file processing, electronic return functions, and outgoing mail inserting and metering. Full knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above listed positions is necessary. This individual must provide exceptional customer service in ensuring that all DCI financial institutions and customers receive effective, complete, and satisfactory delivery and utilization of DCI’s processing services at the Lenexa Center. They must also be flexible to work varying schedules as requested to meet site processing and operations requirements during staffing shortages.
The hours for this position are 12:30 - 9:30 pm CST.

The Operations Specialist is responsible for performing the day-to-day functions at the Lenexa Data Center. Responsibilities
Operations Specialist
- Assists with balancing individual bank customer transaction items generated from image capture in a timely manner.
- Prepares and transmits the outgoing cash letter files.
- Sends large dollar notifications to EARNS.
- Assists with inputting Icore Billing.
- Assists in preparation of outgoing mail.
- Responds promptly to questions/concerns of bank customer contacts and ensures the timely resolution of all problems concerning any problems that arise with site processing.
- Notifies manager of equipment malfunctions.
- Maintains standards and schedules established by DCI’s Lenexa processing center.
- Informs supervisor of problems and assists in resolution.
- Notifies manager of equipment malfunctions.
- Assists in maintaining continuous quality control.
- Performs daily machine maintenance and clean-up at end of shift.
- Assists in evaluating current procedures and schedules, as requested, and suggests ideas to expedite item processing.
- Check for incoming print files.
- Creates print files and check for bad images.
- Prints statement files to the primary statement printer.
- Renders and/or packages statements for shipping to bank.
- Answers customer calls and provides basic support functions or refers them to the proper department when necessary.
- Provides back up to all Lenexa Processing Center duties and functions performed by other employees.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic understanding and knowledge of individual bank item transaction processing in an image and traditional bank processing environment.
- Intermediate data-entry proficiency.
- Bank balancing experience
- Introductory knowledge of financial data processing, balancing, and bank bookkeeping preferred.
- General knowledge of computer uses and operation.
- Strong visual error detection skills.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Good organization skills.
- Excellent interpersonal relations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- High finger dexterity and strength in hands.
