POSITION:

The Global Industrials team is actively looking for an experienced Senior Associate/Vice President to support the Aviation, Aerospace & Defense vertical in our New York office.



GROUP DESCRIPTION:

Jefferies Global Industrials Group provides a full suite of advisory and capital markets capabilities to clients across several sectors, including Aerospace & Defense, Business Services, Capital Goods, Chemicals, Construction and Building Materials, Distribution, Engineering and Electrical, Maritime, Metals & Mining, Paper & Packaging, and Transportation & Logistics. The Global Industrials Group is a team of approximately 100 professionals worldwide based in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Hong Kong, London and Toronto.

The Jefferies Aviation & Aerospace team based in NY focuses on M&A and capital raising advisory primarily focused on commercial aerospace supply chain. aviation services, business aviation operators and service providers, commercial airlines and aircraft leasing.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparing and participating in the delivery of client presentations
  • Compiling a variety of financial analyses such as valuation, pro forma, and three statement operational models
  • Analyzing business plans and participating in due diligence sessions
  • Drafting private and public marketing materials such as offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, and S-1s
  • Leading drafting sessions
  • Preparing and managing the delivery of internal deal memos
  • Mentor junior team members Interface with Jefferies' sector teams to identify and develop business opportunities and collaborate to execute a final product
  • These responsibilities afford direct and active interaction with the senior executive management teams of our clients. VPs in the Aerospace & Defense vertical are expected to attend and participate in client meetings and contribute to building and maintaining client relationships. You will work on several projects simultaneously with teams of professionals, both from within the group and across the firm, including with product partners such as bankers in our Leveraged Finance, Equity Capital Markets, and Restructuring teams. In addition, VPs are expected to take on select client coverage responsibilities.



REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university AND 5 years of Investment Banking experience ideally in an Aviation, Aerospace and Defense Coverage group
  • MBA degree (or equivalent graduate degree) from an accredited college or university AND 3 years of Investment Banking experience ideally in an Aviation Coverage group
  • Financial modeling coursework, training, or experience
  • Resourceful self-starter; able to work autonomously
  • Demonstrated team player and leader
  • Live in New York or willing to relocate



The salary range for this role is $225,000 - $275,000
