Family Law Attorney

Job Description

National law firm seeks an attorney for its office in Houston, TX.

Must be interested in working on immigration law cases in the courtroom. Immigration law experience preferred, but not required. Candidate will be needed in cases involving both family and immigration law (we will train the candidate in the area of immigration law). Courtroom experience strongly preferred.

  • The candidate should have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the Bar of the state of Texas.
  • 3 or more years experience in Family Law preferred (will consider a candidate with Fewer years of experience)
  • Candidates must be thorough, able to work independently, and enjoy working with people.
  • Experience with predicate orders for special immigrants juveniles is a plus.
  • Must be proficient in legal research, word processing and document databases.
  • Be able to resolve and troubleshoot complex legal issues.
  • Draft complex case matters including support letters, audit responses and appeals.
  • Organize, plan and schedule cases on priority basis.
  • Experience in immigration is a plus.
