Director of Operations

Hublot of America is seeking a Director of Operations who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of supply chain management, ensuring the flow of products from suppliers to retailers, wholesale, and customers. They will also manage inventory and stock of materials to ensure the department has everything needed.

The Director of Operations is the primary point of contact for all North America and Caribbean accounts. In addition, the incumbent will also be responsible for all shipment related processes including receiving product into inventory, managing the third-party freight company, etc. This person will participate in the development of strategic plans and manage the execution of plans to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the subsidiary’s operations. This role will oversee the Sales Administrative and Logistics team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Direct operations within the distribution department to insure efficient order processing, accurate inventory control, accurate and timely receipt and stocking of product deliveries, cost-efficient shipping of customer orders and effective processing of returns.
• Handles the relationship with Hublot Swiss Headquarters: weekly shipments, monthly ordering process, stock returns and stock management overall.
• Interact with individual department heads and executive team to ensure that the company’s operational priorities are aligned with the company’s objectives.
• Direct activities of the Free Trade Zone to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs requirements alongside the Logistics Manager.
• Coordinate execution and reconciliation of periodic inventories at both warehouse and store locations.
• Oversee all aspects of facilities management including HVAC, maintenance, security and construction.
• Coordination and maintenance of the warehouse
• Review and enforce security procedures and initiatives – coordinate activities through third-party vendors.
• Maintain, monitor, and control all consignment process (memos to employees, journalists, clients, etc.)
• Identify, recommend, and implement changes to improve productivity. Direct the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of productivity standards.
• Plan and manage annual operating budgets for all areas of accountability. Monitor and manage expenses to insure achievement of financial results.
• Hire, train, develop and evaluate staff.

• Demonstrated ability to adeptly manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong MS Office – Word, Excel.
• Excellent written communication skills for creating correspondence.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED
• Some College or equivalent experience preferred
