Our clients commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction sets them apart, and we're looking for a Director of Field Services to join our team in Denver, CO.
What You’ll Be Doing
As the Director of Field Services, you will play a critical role in the organization. Your influence will be felt across all areas of service, parts, and warranty activities, directly impacting our profitability and overall financial health. You will lead a dedicated team including the Technical Support Manager, Service and Warranty Coordinator, Technical Trainer, and members of our Inside Parts Sales and Field Service teams. Your responsibilities will include:
Budget Management: Build, manage, and drive the annual departmental budget for service, parts, and warranty in alignment with the overall goals of the business and our regional markets in the West and Northeast.
OEM Relationship Management: Maintain and manage partnerships with OEMs, ensuring they are accountable for product support and leveraging all tools and resources to support our customers.
Customer Assistance: Respond to customer inquiries, issues, and complaints through various channels, acting with empathy and concern.
Customer Advocacy: Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams, advocating for customer needs and relaying feedback.
Training: Collaborate to develop and maintain a robust annual training program for dealers, customers, and team members.
Field Service Profitability and Growth: Manage a profitable field service team, growing opportunities for recurring PM work, machine rebuilds, and overhauls.
Rental and Demo Fleet Management: Oversee our fleet of inventory used for rental, demonstration, and sales.
Warranty Management: Maximize recovery of warranty dollars by managing all OEM warranty activities with dealers and customers.
What You’ll Need
Industry Knowledge: General knowledge of field service work with industrial machinery, with a preference for experience in recycling, agriculture, or heavy machinery industries.
Communication Skills: Excellent English communication skills, both technical and non-technical. Spanish-speaking is a plus.
Energetic and Organized: Initiative-taking and self-managed, able to form professional relationships quickly and work productively with minimal supervision.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient with MS Office, iOS mobile devices, and other productivity software applications.
Physical Demands & Travel
Physical Activity: This job mostly involves sitting or standing, with occasional tasks requiring lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
Travel: Quarterly travel within North America and annual international travel to visit European OEMs, estimating six to ten travel weeks annually.
