Business Analyst/Product Manager

LCS is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to drive the continuous improvement of our products, including our flagship product – Rent Manager. Our customers rely on Rent Manager to run their property management operations. As a Business Analyst you will solve complex problems and develop meaningful solutions in the form of requirements. Your recommendations and designs will be used by developers to add value to the Rent Manager software and our customers’ businesses.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Become a Rent Manager and all LCS products expert
  • Drive key product initiatives that make for a better user experience and create meaningful business value
  • Influence and build relationships with customers, partners, and people across all levels of the organization
  • Use a well-rounded approach to determine how changing business and industry needs will affect systems and business processes; provide ideas and recommendations regarding the evolution of LCS products
  • Stay current with industry trends, as well as become familiar with the competitive landscape and evolving technologies
  • Participate in discussions and interact with product users to fully understand their business processes and workflows
  • Leverage analytics and quantitative methods to inform and influence decision-making
  • Identify and prioritize functional (user) requirements and build consensus to move the product forward
  • Write functional requirements documents detailing intended behavior of the software, including design mockups
  • Lead project kickoff meetings with the technical team
  • Conduct demonstration meetings with customers or internal teams
  • Act as a project manager to ensure target dates are met

Qualifications:

  • Prior Product Analyst, Product Engineer, or Product Owner experience, ideally in software
  • Ability to discover, analyze and prioritize business requirements from stakeholders
  • Ability to translate business requirements into detailed functional requirements documentation
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
  • Experience creating wireframes or mockups
  • Experience working with developers through the software development life cycle
  • Experience with SQL queries and advanced Excel functions
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and processes
  • Excellent communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail
  • Understanding of basic accounting practices
