Exciting opportunity to work at a school in Yeovil who are looking for an unqualified Teacher to join their team. We are happy to consider HLTA’s, Cover Supervisors or Overseas Trained Teachers without QTS.
We are looking for a committed individual who is looking for an ongoing, permanent role. There are options for you to gain recognised teaching qualifications as the school are committed to investing in their staffs training and development.
Your duties may vary depending on your previous experience but you will be working alongside other professionals, supporting young people between Years 4-8 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH).
The centre works in partnership with mainstream schools to develop students’ emotional resilience and reduce permanent exclusions. Places can be full or part time, dependant on need. The centre also provides full time placements for pupils who have been permanently excluded from school.
This is a full time position, starting in September 2024.
To Be Considered For This Role, You Must
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.

- Have proven experience delivering lessons
- Have experience with SEMH/SEN and have strong behaviour management skills
- Be comfortable to work with all ages at the school (more likely to be working with Year 7 and 8 students).
