Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in human resources in India.
  • 3 years of experience in project management and HR compliance roles.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with managing compliance.
  • Experience managing and driving HR strategy.
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration, influencing without direct authority, and driving decisions with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple simultaneous priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analysis skills.

About The Job

The Market HR team sits within Googler Experience. The Googler Experience (GX) team helps make a better Google by being there for Googlers in moments that matter. GX partners closely with all parts of Google HR and provides both scaled and custom support for Googlers through their Google journey. Market HR within GX provides a structured, location-based approach to managing the operational complexities, compliance risks, and cultural nuances that are unique to the sites and countries where Google operates.

Whether recruiting the next Googler, refining our core programs, developing talent, or simply looking for ways to inject some more fun into the lives of our Googlers, we bring a data-driven approach that is reinventing the human resources field. You’ll play an essential role advancing a more diverse, accessible, equitable, and inclusive Google through our hiring, promotion, retention, and inclusion practices.

Responsibilities

  • Bring to life the India People Agenda by demonstrating sound knowledge of company and local programs, policies, and procedures, and work seamlessly across multiple cross-functional stakeholders to drive consensus-based decision making.
  • Drive several projects and priorities concurrently to logical fruition. Govern country-specific initiatives effectively and understand when and how to appropriately escalate decisions or urgent matters.
  • Work on relevant labor laws and their implications in an organizational context. Manage compliance requirements both in terms of short-term implications and long-term process builds while working with relevant stakeholders and SMEs.
  • Work with leaders of Google India closely through various interventions on leadership development and partnering for marquee events.
