Engineer Your Success: Job Overview
Be part of our client’s team as a key ILMM Engineer, ensuring seamless network operations and customer satisfaction. You will manage Cato’s production system uptime, troubleshoot network issues, and collaborate globally to drive operational excellence in a remote setup.
Employment type: Indefinite term type contract
Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm CO time

Work in a shift-based team 24/7/365
Own and manage Cato production system uptime and functionality, including troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve various system/network issues
Engage with concerned teams/persons to identify and solve issues
Engage, investigate, and periodically follow up with customers about service status
Track and monitor system status and identify both areas of concern and growth opportunities
Mitigate outages and system malfunctions to ensure no customer effect and prepare escalation by priority/urgency for Engineering team
Engage with 3rd party service providers for resolution of network/system issues
Provide higher-tier support for Cato’s customer issues related to last mile issues
Contribute to building, improving, and expanding Cato's NOC team
Train and assist team members to address knowledge gaps
Take part in ongoing projects and customer onboarding processes
Conduct Welcome calls with customers to introduce the service and assist with onboarding process
Act as a focal point for Cato’s support/field Engineering by understanding business use cases
Contribute to continual service improvement by challenging, reviewing, updating, and creating processes and procedures to drive operational excellence
Credentials That Connect: Qualifications Needed
English proficiency: C1-C2 level (MUST)
1-3 years of experience supporting and monitoring network systems
Ability to work 24/7 shifts and provide on-call support as required
Background as an experienced Support Engineer (tier 1-2)/IT sys admin/NOC/Network Operations Engineer in web/network/information security companies
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong computer skills with a focus on networking, TCP/IP, Firewalls, and proxy servers
Experience with ISP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, HTTP/HTTPS
Ability to read applicative system logs and search for relevant root causes of issues
Exceptional troubleshooting abilities and a passion for diving into complex technical problems in real production environments
Experience working with Cloud and SaaS (Software as a Service) technology providers
Familiarity with network and security protocols and standards
General networking knowledge such as MTR, Wireshark, troubleshooting, TCP/IP, CISCO, Fortigate
