Summary of Job Duties

The Work-Study/Office Assistant serves in various roles. Specific duties are designated by the department hiring manager to include but are not limited to customer service, answering phones, and clerical work. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Qualifications

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Must have a Work-Study Award;
  • Willing and able to work a maximum of 20 hours a week;
  • Knowledge of MS Word;
  • Possess good communication and telephone skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for students and guests for the VCSA office;
  • Provide outstanding customer support to students and guests;
  • Assist with data entry, imaging, and electronic filing when needed;
  • Complete special project tasks list in a timely and precise manner;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Knowledge of key UA Little Rock student services;
  • Experienced with Google Suite;
  • Ability to effectively communicate in person and in writing.
