Episcopal Collegiate is seeking applicants for an Upper School Mathematics position for the academic year 2024-25. We seek teammates who are passionate and knowledgeable about working with teenagers from a variety of backgrounds who possess a range of abilities and learning styles. The position requires collaborative work with other teachers and administrators.


Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Upper School Science and Mathematics teacher include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain engaging lessons that support the school’s math curriculum in grades 9-12. 
  • Advise approximately 8-12 upper school students in both academic and life skills areas.
  • Maintain close communications with families, including but not limited to phone calls, emails and conferences.
  • Participate and engage in professional activities and meetings at departmental, divisional, and school-wide levels.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to participate in extracurricular activities within the school community such as sponsoring a club or coaching a sport.


Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Experience teaching math to teenagers and/or college students is preferred.
  • Enthusiasm and effective interpersonal skills are essential.
