Software Engineer

Reporting directly to the eServices Manager, the Software Engineer is responsible for creating and deploying web-based solutions, utilizing both front-end and back-end technologies. The role involves identifying deficiencies in current systems and workflows, and implementing improvements. Additionally, the Software Engineer will collaborate with other Business Unit leaders to address existing business challenges and integrate new technological solutions.

• Proficient in .Net to design and develop the back-end architecture of applications based on project's requirements.
• Design and implement front-end architecture using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and introduce modern technologies.
• Develop and maintain web-based solutions from inception to deployment adhering to industry best practices and standard architectures.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as product managers, executives, and department heads, to understand requirements and translate them into actionable engineering plans.
• Work closely with the design team to ensure the user interface is user-friendly and responsive.
• Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Working knowledge of tools and best practices to ensure applications are secure and free from vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with the IT team to deploy applications to production.
• Work independently and proactively identify opportunities to improve code base and development practices.
• Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in software development.
• Utilize software engineering tools proficiently.
  
  
  

Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software engineering.

Experience 5-7 years experience as a Software Engineer developing web applications/solutions.

Interpersonal Skills Ability to influence and communicate ideas effectively.

Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is crucial.

Other Skills

• 5 - 7 years experience with .Net framework.
• 5 - 7 years in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• 5 - 7 years experience with Databases such as MS SQL, MySQL.
• 3- 4 years experience with consumption of web services (JSON, REST, XML/SOAP).

• Experience with Symitar Jack Henry SymXchange is a plus.
• Familiarity with web development frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
