Summary:

Coordinates, develops, and implements site safety programs to ensure continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and alignment with operations objectives and Enterprise Safety/Health guidelines. Under site leader direction and guidance from Enterprise Safety, manages projects and programs tied to the annual plan that lead to successful site safety performance outcomes, including reduced work-related injuries/illnesses and associated costs. Also provides oversight of staff and site program execution in 1-2 other areas such as Environmental, Health Services, or Workers Comp admin (area of supervision may vary by site).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conducts safety evaluations (e.g. audits, inspections, accident investigations, etc.) with site management and assists in the execution of corrective actions. Trains supervisors and support staff accordingly to support program needs.\
  • Works with site leadership and manufacturing engineering to conduct safety assessments of new or modified equipment/processes in accordance with Andersen’s Safety Assessment Procedure. Participates in problem solving/resolution exercises. Seeks direction from Enterprise Safety in standards interpretations and challenging situations.

Must Have Responsibilities:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a related field or Master's degree in Environmental Health & Safety preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of Safety Management experience supporting a large site &700 people or larger with multiple locations
  • Technical knowledge/experience of OSHA, NFPA, NEC, ANSI code regulations and compliance
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering outstanding results
  • Must be able to develop, deploy and improve Safety System concepts, techniques, and standards while influencing and supporting Operations Leadership team
  • Well versed in safety committee processes and methodologies with the ability to adapt accordingly to the needs of the business. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience managing a team of site safety specialists, safety technicians or occupational health specialists.
  • Ability to manage & influence leaders and teams across multiple locations an drive performance results.
  • Ability to prepare and present to all levels of the organization
  • Experience managing in matrixed organizations

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4k for each eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
