Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to facilitate gathering data, perform internal investigations, or operation support within the Quality Assurance department.

Responsibilities

  • Support investigating quality issues through the QA work lifecycle. Examples include;
  • Complaint Investigation
  • Environmental Monitoring of manufacturing area
  • Product nonconformances
  • Supplier issues
  • Monitor and maintenance of existing quality system processes.
  • Assist in creating/maintaining Quality System procedures.
  • Support operations and tasks within the Microbiology lab
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Additional Quality Assurance tasks as identified.
  • Must be willing to learn and operate within existing or new computer/enterprise systems.
  • Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization
  • Must strictly adhere to safety requirements
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
  • Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations.
  • This role is a hybrid position. Time needed in office may vary but expect 1 - 3 days in the office per week.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Associates degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Good organizational skills
  • Experience in statistical and analytical reasoning
  • Knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, MS Powerpoint, Excel etc.) and enterprise systems.
  • Basic understanding of databases and data retrieval skills

Physical Requirements

  • The essential job functions and other duties are performed mostly in a typical office environment and/or at a remote location
  • Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, etc
  • The majority of the day is spent sitting or moving around the campus
  • Movement between campus buildings should be expected. This can be done via automobile or walking. Expect seasonal climate conditions
  • Complaint evaluation work requires protective glasses and gloves when working with biologically contaminated returned products
