Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

Overall Purpose: The Mechanical Assembler will work to assemble components to drawings and specifications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Learn to read blueprints, specifications and assembly instructions
• May assemble or process mechanical and electrical type components
• Follow documented instructions
• Complete applicable assembly and test records
• Adhere to 5S Standards
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, policies for attendance and punctuality and standards for safety
  
  

Other Duties:

• Other duties based on the needs of the Production Department

Qualification Requirements:

• High School education or equivalent
• Understanding of basic math is necessary for completion of documentation
• Must possess basic computer skills
• Must have good eyesight and manual dexterity
• Must be able to understand and follow written or verbal instructions in English
• Ability to use tape measures and calipers
• Good work habits
• Ability to cooperate with others
• Reliable and punctual
• Fluent in English (able to read, speak, and understand)
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident)
  
  

Physical Demands:

• While performing duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to:
• Stand
• Walk
• Reach with both hands and arms
• Perform repetitive motions
• Lift 25 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
  
  

Work Environment: Warehouse-type surroundings

• Must be a U.S. Person based on ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident). This position is expected to be exposed to information which is subject to U.S. export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
