IB Mathematics Teacher

The Awty International School seeks a full-time IB Mathematics Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The school is looking for an energetic, creative person who interacts with students and colleagues in a professional manner and is eager to become part of our Secondary Faculty team. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a commitment to teaching in a diverse, multicultural environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• BA or equivalent in Mathematics or Mathematics Education or related field
• 2 years experience teaching IB DP Mathematics, AP Calculus, or university equivalent
• 5 years teaching experience
  
  
  

Ideal Candidate:

• Advanced degree in Mathematics and/or Education
• Experience teaching IB DP Math Analysis SL
• Experience teaching other Upper School mathematics courses, such as Geometry and Algebra II.
• Interest in leading Math clubs, competitions, or other extracurricular activities
• Fluency with mathematical technology such as Desmos, GeoGebra, graphing calculators, etc.
• Fluency in a second language (e.g. French or Spanish)
