Primary Purpose

Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, the HR Business Partner will provide strategic, operational and communications support for the HR initiatives aligned with the organization growth and corporate objectives and will take accountability for HR activities within their assigned region. This position will work in partnership with the HR SME leads and Managers on the implementation of HR activities, including employee relations, benefits, compensation and talent acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Act as strategic business partner to local management.
  • Day to day management of the HR Specialists for the assigned region ensuring annual performance management is carried out.
  • Manage the implementation of Emmes Global HR policies and procedures within the assigned region.
  • Act as key point of contact for leaders within the region and provide feedback to the VP Human Resources as appropriate.
  • Work with HR functional experts (e.g., Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition) to ensure that Emmes is kept up to date with local legislation and legal requirements.
  • Work with HR functional experts (i.e., Employee Relations) to ensure the Emmes Employee Handbook for the region and all policies and procedures are kept up to date.
  • Ensure the Global HR Calendar i.e., Performance Management, Annual Review, Succession Planning, Annual Bonus etc are communicated appropriately and managed locally ensuring compliance with globally set timelines.
  • Work with Employee Relations to provide local HR support for disciplinary/grievance processes ensuring compliance with local law.
  • Work with HR Compensation and Benefits team to maintain accurate HRIS records within ADP and respond to data requests as required.
  • Provide HR data and metrics both functionally and regionally to support organisational effectiveness and decision making.
  • Provide HR due diligence and integration support for proposed and agreed acquisitions within assigned region.
  • Partner with global leaders providing strategic HR solutions across a global landscape.
  • Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation.
  • Support and advise line managers on local training requirements as determined by Training & Development.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. PHR/SHRM-CP is a plus.
  • 8 years generalist HR experience, HR Business Partner in a global organization.
    • CRO or Pharmaceutical industry experience required.
  • Demonstrated results delivering to the business and impacting organizational success.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and with data manipulation and analysis.
  • Strategic mindset and ability to effectively lead the implementation of initiatives across functional global teams through periods of sustained business growth.
  • Detail orientated and organized, with ability to manage and prioritize business activities while directing global human capital teams in a high growth environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to professionally influence and challenge leadership and HR colleagues.
  • Experience and familiarity with HRIS systems including ADP WorkforceNow; knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) iCIMS preferred.
