Direct Lending Associate – US Mid-Market Private Credit Fund
A leading, global mid-market Private Credit Fund is recruiting for an Investment Associate to join their Direct Lending team based in New York City.
This is an excellent investment opportunity, working as part of an experienced, creative team of direct lending and private credit professionals, originating, underwriting and executing tailored financing solutions across the US Mid-Market.
The team has a lean structure, entrepreneurial approach, and a flexible mandate, investing across the capital structure and sourcing opportunities across a wide array of sectors and industries.
They are looking for an exceptional individual to join them as an Investment Associate, candidates will require an excellent academic record, relevant industry experience and skills gained from at least 3 years from Credit focused backgrounds, such as leveraged/acquisition finance, restructuring or private credit investment teams.
The Investment Associate will be responsible for a range of duties contributing to the deal lifecycle. These will vary from supporting senior investors with sourcing and evaluating new investments, providing a high level of due diligence, preparation of marketing and pitching materials, conducting bespoke credit analysis, building detailed financial models and executing transactions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required from top tier educational institution
3-5 years of prior relevant experience in credit investing, leveraged finance, restructuring, or M&A
High level of technical, analytical and financial modelling skills
Strong credit acumen with the ability to think critically about the qualitative aspects of a transaction as well as execute on the quantitative analysis required to evaluate an investment opportunity
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong sense of accountability, responsiveness, and follow-through
Team oriented, with ability and interest in providing technical training and mentoring to junior employees
Highly adaptable, with flexibility on depth and breadth of role and responsibilities
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task
