Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in San Diego, CA that is seeking a Credit/Collections Officer II. This position is to support the day-to-day credit and collections for the Collections team based out of San Diego. This role will work onsite two days each week - typically Tuesday and Wednesday. Resoponsibilities:

  • Manage inbound and outbound collection calls
  • Perform well in complex, high-volume, data entry, customer service, and problem-solving role
  • Understand the end-to-end credit & collections processes and follows policies and procedures
  • Respond to both external and internal customer inquiries in a professional manner
  • Process, monitor and/or oversee transactional activities associated with area of support
  • Respond to customer (external and internal) questions and inquiries in a professional manner
  • Researches and analyzes data to identify & address root cause of exceptions
  • Ensure operational and financial integrity within established corporate policies, procedures and controls

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Prior collections experience
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Ability to handle and navigate technology
  • Excel experience
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of technology (finance enterprise systems), tools and resources to perform role
  • Verbal and written communication skills in a variety of mediums (phone, email, chat, in-person)
  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a team
  • Can perform simple reconciliation analysis
  • Have good analytical & technical skills
  • Goal, task and project oriented
  • Skilled at time management, multitasking and prioritizing workload
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Able to provide excellent customer service, for internal and external customers, throughout the entire collections process

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
