1% of the base hourly rate granted for each year of verified like experience (within ten years) beyond the requirement, up to a five-year maximum

1% of the base hourly rate awarded for an AA or higher degree if not required for the position

Overview
Under the supervision of an Audiologist, the audiology technology assistant assists in delivering comprehensive care for hearing impaired students by checking hearing assistive technology in the classroom.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree preferred
Valid AZ fingerprint Clearance Card
Proficient with Microsoft applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong organizational and critical thinking skills to effectively manage priorities of multiple team members
Strong planning and coordination skills
Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with district school staff
Participate in professional growth and training activities
Maintain confidentiality
Provide own transportation for district travel
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Manage clinic and hearing equipment inventory on multiple databases
Provides hearing assistive technology and hearing aid check, device troubleshooting, and delivery support to students and staff across the district
Create and maintain files or charts; update chart notes and scan records as indicated by audiologist
Assists audiologists with two-tester audiological evaluations by helping the student complete the hearing testing
Performs calibrations and listening checks on a regular basis
Maintains organization and cleaning of the clinic while following infection control procedures
Record-keeping, clerical duties and other administrative support functions can be delegated to the assistant after full and complete training and delineation of supervisory needs by the audiologist
Communicate professionally with all district staff
Serve as a liaison between district school staff and the audiologists
Assists with departmental projects as assigned
