Accounting Services Senior - Tax

More Than a Job

We’re hiring for an Accounting Services Senior for our East Hanover office. Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:

• Perform general bookkeeping, including monthly, quarterly and year end posting of journal entries and closing under co-sourced and outsourced arrangements
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements under GAAP
• Assist in supporting client during their external audit process, if applicable
• Assist Manager to evaluate and establish financial reporting internal controls for clients
• Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations for various accounts 
• Review operating agreements and vendor contracts
• Import and review budgets
• Record payroll and reconcile payroll accounts
• Enter invoices and maintain vendor profiles
• Process wires and ACH payments, if applicable
• Extensive QuickBooks utilization and train/trouble shoot for clients
• Prepare and file annual 1099s 
• Maintain general ledgers and trial balances including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash receipts, cash disbursements, fixed assets, and depreciation
• Perform or assist with financial statement analysis and other financial project requests

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• 3 years’ of relevant work
• Able to work independently and also work well with others
• Able to multi-task and handle situations with time constraints
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA License or on track to obtain
• A combination of Public Accounting client advisory and/or private company accounting experience a plus
• 1 years’ of supervisory experience in related field
• Software Experience – SEI Archway, CCH ProSystem, Microsoft Office 365 and QuickBooks
