Senior Product Director/Chief Product Officer

This role will have a pivotal role in overseeing the end-to-end cycle (Customer to Delivery) of CV-Library and Resume Library's product. This role is responsible for aligning the company's product strategy globally along with its overall business goals and objectives.

As the Senior Product Director/CPO you will have worked in a global or enterprise business that has scaled aggressively to provide outstanding customer focus or you will deliver the best possible customer experience globally and be responsible for driving innovation and creating products that meet customer demands and deliver value.

This opportunity will work alongside our C-suite and report directly to our founder and CEO.

Description

  • You will be responsible for setting a clear product vision, revenue generating roadmap and direction for the business, product team, including providing strategic leadership and guidance
  • Establish and execute the product roadmap, prioritising revenue generating/ customer engagement features, and ensuring timely delivery of key milestones against the roadmap.
  • Work alongside key stakeholders across the business client group. Partnering with external parties to deliver a coherent product roadmap in line with the overall business strategy
  • Execute efficiently and at pace the goals and timescales for the roadmap using agile methodologies and communicating these appropriately to all levels of the business
  • Recruit and develop top talent in both the UK and South Africa, nurture a culture of collaboration and innovation, and inspire the team to deliver high-quality outputs and products that meet business and customer objectives
  • Provide detailed business requirements to the technology team, in a way that enhances the overall productivity and quality of the development, testing and delivery process.
  • Monitor the performance of the product teams through KPI's in line with your product strategy and communicating these metrics appropriately to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure the functionality of the overall product is appropriately documented and the changes are effectively communicated or marketed.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to understand customer needs and identify current and new market opportunities.
  • Provide insight to the business leadership team and guide the business through transformative change around the product function globally
  • Analyse market data, evaluate customer feedback and research competitive intelligence to inform key stakeholders about future product decisions
  • Drive revenue growth through clear pathways in relation to product innovation, market expansion, and customer acquisition.
  • Monitor KPIs, track product metrics, and make data-driven decisions to optimise product performance and maximise revenue potential
  • Identifying, researching, and presenting areas of product opportunity and risk mitigation strategies for the business.


Requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Possess exceptional commercial awareness and be effective in launching and improving product to give the business the best revenue growth opportunities.
  • Clear, confident, and proactive communicator able to bridge the gap between the business and technical experts.
  • Outstanding customer focus, including understanding, anticipating, and exceeding clients' needs
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to deliver, engage and lead change.
  • Strong collaborator who is comfortable in decision making as well as being a social personality to relate at all levels across the business
  • Excellent people leadership skills to lead, mentor and develop a collaborative multi-disciplined team. Ideally leading circa 20-30 in a team
  • Strong ability to motivate people to build a high performing team who are committed and motivated to achieve ambitious targets
  • Product deliver techniques such as story mapping, business process modelling, UX wireframing, BDD, prioritisation methods as well as epic, feature, and story breakdown as part of a wider product backlog.
  • Marketplace experience, with a good understanding of search and SEO.
  • Must have been in scale business or enterprise in a product strategist role
