Two exciting opportunities have arisen to join our well-established Women’s & Children’s CMG at University Hospital’s Leicester to lead education and practice in: Neonates & Paediatrics and Women’s.

We are looking to appoint two full time established and talented senior nurses:

If you are a Registered Nurse / Registered Nurse Children’s who is experienced in leading education and training in Paediatrics and Neonates, has a knowledge of evidence-based practice with a thorough understanding of how this can inform our education and training strategy to ensure that we can deliver high quality care across the organisation, we welcome your application.

If you have demonstrative ability of successfully leading a team of trainers and educators, to enhance the delivery of high standards of care across our organisation, in line with UHL Trust’s objectives of clinical quality and safety, we look forward to meeting you.

You will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of education, training and development across the CMG working in partnership with The University of Leicester and De Montfort University to ensure the delivery of the highest standards of both pre and post registration education and training.

Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).

We Have Four Primary Goals

  • high-quality care for all,
  • being a great place to work,
  • partnerships for impact, and
  • research and education excellence

And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.

Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:

  • we are compassionate,
  • we are proud,
  • we are inclusive, and
  • we are one team

This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
