Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive People Executive (HR Generalist) to join our team in Amsterdam. In this part-time role, you will support our daily people processes, including managing sick leave, driving Diversity and Inclusion (DNI) initiatives, overseeing operational management of people processes, and improving onboarding and offboarding procedures. This position is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of recruitment experience and an initial understanding of Dutch Employment Law.


Key Responsibilities


  • Sick Leave Management:
  • Monitor and manage employee sick leave records.
  • Coordinate with managers and employees to ensure proper documentation and compliance.
  • Support employees in their return-to-work process.


  • Diversity and Inclusion (DNI) Initiatives:
  • Assist in developing and implementing DNI initiatives and programs.
  • Promote an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Track and report on the progress of DNI initiatives.


  • Operational Management of People Processes:
  • Support the People/HR team in daily operational tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.


  • Onboarding and Offboarding:
  • Improve and streamline onboarding processes to enhance new employee experiences.
  • Coordinate and manage offboarding procedures to ensure a smooth transition for departing employees.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback for continuous improvement.


  • People/HR Support:
  • Provide general HR support to employees and management.
  • Assist with employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives as needed.


Qualifications and Skills


  • Experience:
  • 1-2 years of experience in recruitment or a similar HR role.
  • Initial understanding of Dutch Employment Law is required.


  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.


  • Language:
  • Dutch language skills are beneficial but not required.
