Educational Qualification, Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Diploma in Electronics/ Electrical. Working experience in Supplier Quality/ Engineering / Plant Quality teams for Electrical and Electronics parts of automotive industry for minimum of 5 years. Knowledge of key electronics parts, manufacturing process and Quality techniques like APQP, PPAP, Problem Solving with suppliers and Control on supplier Tier 1 and Tier 2 team for development.

Responsibilities, Role, Task & Duties Of Position

Supplier Quality role – Electronics & Electrical commodity

Roles And Responsibilities Knowledge Area

Having sound knowledge of part like Lamps, Wiring Harness, Wiper System, 12V Battery, EV Battery, Horn, Starter Motor, Alternator, HVAC System, Sensors, and other Electronic Control Modules used in automotive industry.
Drive part development activities through APQP process with suppliers for assigned components to meet the project timeline.
Drive implementation of Engineering Change Orders (EWO) in current products at supplier end.
Execute PPAP and Run at Rate activities at supplier for ensuring defect free supplies.
Monitor supplier performances and drive continuous improvements at supplier end.
Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions at supplier end using problem solving tools for current product issues.
Perform supplier system and process audits to ensure compliance to approved processes.
Participate in various cross functional team meetings to provide timely feedback on regular product development and issue closure status.
Have sound knowledge of various manufacturing processes such as SMT process, Plastic moulding, Assembly processes, surface treatment etc.
Have sound knowledge of quality processes and tools such as APQP, FMEA, SPC, Control Plan, PPAP, change management, Problem solving quality tools etc.
Having experience in handling warranty issues and field issues of electrical and electronics parts.
Have sound communication, interpersonal, and management skills.
