Here’s an overview of your future role:

Employment type: Indefinite term type contract

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (CO time)

Work Setup: On-site, Bogota/Medellin

What are we looking for?

  • At least three (3) years of people management experience.
  • At least seven (7) years of experience in HR Business Partnering or similar roles in Human Resources.
  • Solid experience in Labor Laws, government regulations, compliance requirements, policy development and implementation, discipline management, performance management, talent management and development, client management, and strategic business partnering.
  • Knowledgeable and skilled with change processes in complex organizational systems.
  • Willingness to work on a shifting schedule basis and report on-site.

What will you do in our team?

  • Leads the assigned People and Culture Team in building strong, trusted, and influential relationships with key stakeholders by being responsive, prompt, and collaborative in all dealings.
  • Guides People BPs in analyzing trends and metrics, in partnership with the HR Operations Team, with the goal of creating strategic and sustainable HR programs and policies to put forward to clients.
  • Leads the creation of the monthly HR Insights Report, derived from data gathered through high-touch activities such as 1 on 1s and FGDs. Recommends organization-wide initiatives alongside the leaders of the different HR Facets to address employee issues surfaced from the monthly report, supported by an action plan with implementation details.
  • Provides domain expertise to the assigned People and Culture Team by sharing industry or client category insights, surfaced through reviewing trends across accounts or using external market insights, with the goal of creating highly differentiated initiatives and introducing value-adding information to stakeholders.
  • Guides People BPs on key HR policies, processes, and programs which can be used by stakeholders to make informed decisions.
  • Guides the account People BPs in creating or reviewing account-specific policies and processes, ensuring alignment with baseline policies of the Company or compliant with the labor standards set by the government.
  • Stays informed about the changes in employment laws and regulations and takes initiative in updating and communicating changes to policies as needed.

Employee Relations, Engagement, and Retention

  • Acts as the escalation point on client and employee concerns within the assigned People and Culture Team.
  • Guides People BPs in implementing account-specific interventions to nurture work relationships, build morale, and improve employee experience.
  • Leads the People BPs in initiating and driving account-specific employee engagement activities, rewards, and recognition. Takes part in the planning and implementation of organization-wide engagement activities.

Performance Management

  • Leads the People BPs in the timely implementation of key performance management activities, which include but are not limited to probationary employment evaluation and annual performance review of employees.
  • Oversees the timely implementation of employee movements, including changes in employment status, promotion, merit increase, and other salary-impacting changes.
  • Provides guidance to People BPs on implementing account-specific performance interventions such as, but not limited to, Performance Improvement Plan and Individual Development Plan.

HR Operations

  • Monitors the progress of onboarding and maintenance of HR Trackers.
  • Proactively ensures compliance with all legal, statutory, and company policies and procedures of HR-related processes and programs.
  • Leads the sourcing, selection, and administration of employee benefits programs including health insurances, wellness partners, and all other vendors, ensuring competitiveness, equity, and compliance with local regulations.
  • Analyzes benefits utilization and cost trends and identifies opportunities for improvement and cost-savings.
  • Spearheads the development and communication of employee benefits, plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Conducts different types of studies on benefits trends, regulatory changes, benchmarks, and best practices in employee benefits administration and HR Operations (as needed).
  • Implements and optimizes available HCM systems and processes to automate operations, improving data accuracy and integrity, reporting capabilities, and turnaround time for HR Operations services.
  • Serves as a focal point in addressing escalations pertaining to the different functions and deliverables of HR Operations.

Employee Discipline

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Guides HR Business Partners in addressing complex and sensitive employee discipline matters.
  • Guides People Business Partner/s in preparing and issuing "Carta de Descargos" (Letters of Explanation) to employees involved in disciplinary matters.
  • Reviews all disciplinary documentation for serious and grave infractions of the Labor Code and Reglamento Interno de Trabajo (RIT) to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with local labor laws and company policies. Escalates high-profile and highly sensitive cases to the Head of People Business Partnerships for guidance.
  • Approves or provides feedback on the proposed disciplinary actions and "Descargos" proceedings.
  • Leads the investigation and completion of the case management process of escalated cases within the assigned HR Team.
  • Leads the conduct of learning sessions on Company Policies including the Code of Conduct and the Employee Handbook. Guides the People BPs in creating account-specific interventions to address recurring violations.

Learning and Development

  • Works with the Learning and Development Team in identifying training needs based on domain expertise.
  • Participates in the evaluation and monitoring of the success of training programs. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.

People Management

  • Mentors direct reports on being effective strategic collaborators with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Maximizes coaching opportunities on matters related to work deliverables, attitude towards work, and behavior while at work.
  • Sets work expectations and evaluates the performance of HR Business Partners, in compliance with performance management standards. Implements interventions to improve output or address critical gaps.
  • Acts as the administrative lead of HR Business Partners within the assigned group.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Ensures compliance with all Health and Safety legislation and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborates with management to promote a culture of safety and health within the organization.
  • Liaises with external agencies, such as local health and safety authorities, to ensure compliance and stay updated on regulatory changes.
  • Performs any administrative or non-administrative duties as assigned by any of the Company’s representatives from time to time through direct written order or verbal assignment.
  • Abides by and performs all functions, duties, and responsibilities to be assigned by the Company in due course.
  • Complies with the orders and instructions given from time to time by the Company through its authorized representatives.
