Summary Of Responsibilities

The Yardi System Administrator is responsible for the administration and support of the Yardi platform to include environment security, upgrades, module and property implementations, and case management. This position timely responds to and effectively addresses requests from the internal team to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of business operations. The Yardi System Administrator is further instrumental in ensuring system configurations meet business needs by working closely with and collaborating with key decision-makers and Yardi end users.

  • Maintain and manage the Yardi system to support Property Management, Accounting, Leasing, and Asset Management functions. This includes acting as Administrator/Super User for the software, enabling/disabling users, managing permissions, setting up new properties, scheduling tasks, setting up custom reports, etc.
  • Maintain user security groups and new user setup.
  • Manage system upgrades to include testing of existing business processes to ensure efficient rollouts prior to them going live.
  • Maintain property lists and account trees to support reporting.
  • Delete transactions and objects as needed with appropriate approval.
  • Monitor new entity/record set-up for completeness and consistency.
  • Work directly with Property Management, Accounting and Leasing teams to capture requests and issues, consulting with end users on Yardi functionality, and building project plans for implementation.
  • Oversee and complete system customization or configuration.
  • Manage user support to include performing system training, troubleshooting, answering usage questions, and supporting the documentation of system processes.
  • Design and implement processes and solutions to ensure the Yardi database is in sync with other systems relying on Yardi data.
  • Communicate and/or meet team members and others on a regular or as-needed basis for updates and any additional support required.
  • Remain current and relevant on Yardi product updates and new features to include Yardi Voyager 7S, RentCafe, RentCafe CRM Flex, CondoCafe, CommercialCafe, Legal, Maintenance IQ, Concierge, Forecast IQ, Procure to Pay and YES Energy.
  • Create and circulate support documentation as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary Of Requirements

Ideal candidates for the Yardi System Administrator position possess a minimum of three (3) years of Yardi system experience with extensive knowledge of Voyager and its modules; a minimum of three (3) years of technical support experience, preferably within the real estate sector; and strong Windows 10 Enterprise experience. The successful candidate shall possess proven training and customer service skills with an effective focus on developing user independence regarding system use; and the successful ability to communicate technical information to a layperson in a clear and coherent manner. The position requires utmost professionalism, respect, integrity, and trustworthiness in all interactions; strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, project management and communication (verbal and written) skills; effective ability to work independently and within a team; and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
