Vice President of Digital Strategy

Overview

Crestline Hotels and Resorts is currently on the hunt for an experienced Vice President of Digital Strategy. We seek a strong hotel marketer who will oversee and develop the digital commerce team supporting our portfolio of branded and independent hotels. This leader will Strategize, Collaborate, Communicate, and Implement strategies with our teams and Ownership Groups.

This position can be based remotely within the United States.

Essential Functions

  • As a key member of our Digital Commerce Leadership Team, you will be responsible for driving the strategy for key commercial areas including, but not limited to digital content, paid media strategy, online reputation, and third-party distribution platforms.
  • Work closely with key partners in revenue, sales, and operations disciplines to understand their business needs and objectives and develop strategies for the Digital team to support those needs.
  • Share frequent and ongoing updates with peers, executive leadership, and ownership partners that create strategic alignment, a shared understanding of key initiatives, and a sense of progress and confidence in results delivered.
  • Proactively make recommendations and implement action plans to improve online presence, increase market share, Increase Marketing performance, Profitability, Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), and Increase revenue generation.
  • Lead the digital team in the development of best practices, strategies, and procedures to provide a full scope of outstanding digital commerce support for our ownership partners and their assets.

Supportive Functions

  • Management of key vendor and partner relationships
  • Assisting with budget management, business update decks, contracts management, and data reporting for the digital commerce team.
  • Represents Crestline Hotels & Resorts while visiting properties, attending ownership meetings, and attending industry events.
  • Business Case Development and Strong Statistical Skills. This leader will participate, provide input and recommendations, and share results during property Ownership Calls as required.

Other Functions

  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
  • Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Crestline Hotels & Resorts rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel’s facilities. Employees who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
  • Must be willing and able to travel as needed.

Education & Experience

  • Five plus years of hotel management experience with a minimum of three years in an eCommerce-related discipline experience required.
  • Lifestyle, as well as branded and independent hotel experience are essential.
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the design and execution of digital marketing tactics.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of all market segments and channel sources, as well as the ability to develop a strategic plan for each.
  • Strong, relevant, and current knowledge of electronic media, marketing, and positioning of independent and branded properties
  • Excellent Computer Skills and proficiency in Multi-Channel Analytics, Integrated Planning, Content Marketing, Campaign Creation and optimization with PPC, Paid Media, Search Engine Optimization, social media, Email Marketing, Digital Marketing Tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working collaboratively with revenue management.
  • Ability to prepare, implement, and update the hotel media plans.
  • Effective ability to supervise and motivate staff to maintain optimal department operation and staff development.
