Supportive Housing Case Manager Internship

As a SupportiveHousing Intern at Wayside Recovery Center,you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of women, children, and their families throughout Minnesota. Your passion to provide client focused care and willingness to be a team player makes all the difference in fulfilling our mission and philosophy of care by breaking the cycle of addiction andtrauma. This internship is for students looking to learn more about case management.

The Case Management Intern will assist clients in coordinating care in obtaining resources and meeting their treatment plan goals during their time in supportive housing. Interns will identify and locate information and resources for a variety of client needs related to substance use, mental health, housing, and the social service system. Complete intake for housing, as well as urinary analysis screens. Lead life skills education to tenants.

Interns will gain experience in growing their knowledge of substance use disorder and trauma informed care while gaining experience in case management and coordinating with community agencies.

**This is an unpaid internship opportunity**

Preferred Qualifications: Experience/education in the behavioral health services field (psychology, social work, family studies or another related major), working with persons who have experienced trauma, substance use, or mental health challenges. Priority given to students who have knowledge in community resources.

Preferred Junior, Senior level of college or bachelor’s degree.
