What You Will Be Doing

A critical role, the Senior Director of Business Ops and Reporting, is central to managing our retail media deal desk (yield optimization) as well as driving our business analysis routines. This is a highly visible role with The Collective leadership team, Corporate Finance and Executive leaders within Albertsons. You will provide accurate reporting and trends on media yield optimization and business performance while offering inventive solutions to capitalize on emerging opportunities and demand as they relate to retail media. Related, you will assist in tracking sales team performance and related incentive program. And finally, you will work closely with our Commercial Strategy team to provide competitive insights and emerging growth areas.

The position location is remote, ideally based in Pleasanton, CA or one of our main regional offices (Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, Boise, ID, Denver CO, Dallas TX, Chicago, IL, or Fullerton, CA, Phoenix, AZ).

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead business operations, analytics and management of retail media deal desk
  • Drive forecasting and planning efforts in collaboration with Commercial Strategy, Sales and Finance teams, including client and initiative-specific projections such as new product launches
  • Manage Yield/Optimization efforts in coordination with Media and Ad Operations team
  • Help to manage overall Collective profitability, in partnership with Commercial Strategy team through:
  • New potential channel strategies and/or campaign media mix optimizations
  • Managed service, self-service and/or dynamic pricing model creation
  • Oversee overall media deal strategy and client-specific rate cards including CPM and discounting needs and approvals, in partnership with Media and Sales/Account teams
  • Oversee CRM and assist with developing best-in-class processes to ensure The Collective captures an accurate view of sales pipeline, including bottoms-up and top-down forecasts
  • Spearhead business reporting and analytics initiatives to drive insights and inform strategic decision-making
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to track KPIs including performance, revenue trends, and client engagement
  • Negotiate client MSA’s and T&C’s including payment and financial considerations, in coordination with Albertsons legal team
  • Manage sales commissions and incentive programs
  • Help build business cases, when and where needed, to help reduce bottlenecks including those that may hinder revenue acceleration

The salary range is $159,200 to $222,980 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.

Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay/Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually) bereavement pay and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus.

What We Are Searching For

  • A minimum of 12-15 years of experience including finance, business forecasting and planning for media companies
  • A strong working knowledge of media and/or retail media sales, as well as pricing, yield management and CRM solutions and processes
  • Experience navigating complex customer, industry, and stakeholder dynamics and developing innovative ways of working and processes to drive business results
  • An influential leadership style, be strong motivator, and have the ability to manage through change
  • An ability to move quickly and effectively, and is also an effective communicator who uses excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
  • The capability to think strategically while also rolling up your sleeves to do the work and execute
  • A track record of success in prior role(s)
