Senior Accountant

America’s Favorite Jeweler, Ross-Simons, a division of Luxury Brand Holdings, is seeking a Senior Accountant based in our Cranston, RI office. The position will be a critical part of the daily financial activities of the organization as well as interact with department heads and external auditors. This is a hands-on role which also has supervisory responsibility.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:

Financial Accounting

Manage all balance sheet accounts from reconciliation through resolution

Conduct financial and cost analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts

Prepare supporting schedules for external auditors for periodic and year-end audits

Account Analysis and Cash

Manage cash audit and application processes

Responsible for chargeback process and reporting

Oversee customer liability processes

Performance Management

Manage direct report’s performance and professional development (1 direct report)

Provide guidance and support to finance team regarding financial information and accounting policies

Recommend initiatives for process optimization and automation to support company growth

Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned.

Experience and Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, formulas, and clear presentation of data

Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting, ideally with public accounting experience.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

Effective communication skills across all levels of an organization; able to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
