Summary

NASA's Office of Communications (OCOMM) seeks Lead Public Affairs Specialists to support the Artemis campaign and Moon to Mars public communications. The specialists, integrating across OCOMM functions, will develop strategies, plans, and products in various mediums and digital platforms spotlighting NASA activities. Work includes leading storytelling, messaging, visuals development, partnership cultivation, supporting engagement events, and serving as a spokesperson.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: Planning, integrating, executing, and evaluating a public affairs/communications program; Advising other public affairs specialists and top managers and decision-makers on important national and/or international issues; Planning and developing communication products, messaging, and conducting special events intended for the public, news media, social media and the web; Providing full service public affairs support, such as writing and editing documents ensuring technical accuracy.
