Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive investigations and enforce the City's Code of Ordinances.
Prepare and issue notices, conduct educational presentations, and provide sworn testimony in hearings.
Patrol city streets and parks to ensure community safety.
Qualifications:
High School graduation or GED equivalent, plus specialized courses/training equivalent to one year of college in code compliance inspections, animal control, or a related field.
At least six months of experience in code enforcement or animal control.
Valid driver’s license in the State of Florida.
Code Compliance Level 1 Certificate or ability to obtain within one year of employment.
Certificate from a State of Florida approved Animal Control Officers course or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
Certificate of completion from a State of Florida approved Animal Control Officers Chemical Immobilization of Animals course or ability to obtain within two years of employment.
