Chief Financial Officer

Our client is a leading marketing and advertising firm dedicated to delivering innovative and impactful campaigns for a diverse range of clients.

They are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join their team, who will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations and strategies of the organization. Reporting directly to the Chairman/Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, driving financial planning and analysis, managing budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing effective financial controls.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Planning and Analysis:
• Develop comprehensive financial plans and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
• Conduct financial analysis to evaluate performance, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization.
• Budget Management:
• Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor budget performance throughout the fiscal year.
• Work closely with department heads to develop budgetary guidelines and ensure adherence to financial targets.
• Implement cost control measures to maximize efficiency and profitability.
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements in financial reporting.
• Present financial reports and analysis to the executive team and board of directors.
• Cash Flow Management:
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support ongoing operations and investment initiatives.
• Develop cash flow forecasting models to anticipate funding needs and optimize cash utilization.
• Implement strategies to mitigate financial risks and maintain financial stability.
• Risk Management and Compliance:
• Oversee risk management activities, including insurance coverage, contractual agreements, and regulatory compliance.
• Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
• Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
• Strategic Planning and Decision Support:
• Collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership team to develop long-term strategic plans and initiatives.
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and business development efforts.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and potential acquisitions to support company growth objectives.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Proven experience (10 years) in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience dealing with the Federal Government on contracts, compliance, and bids.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of driving financial performance and supporting business growth.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence decision-making.
• Experience in the marketing or creative services industry is a plus.
