Currently, we are looking to add an Associate Scientist to the team:

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Perform production of antibodies from antigen preparation to purification for the catalog.
  • Assess antibody quality using multiple characterization techniques: flow cytometry, ELISA, immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, western blot.
  • Perform quality control tests on antibody products as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain Laboratory Standard Operating Procedures and Protocols for antibody products.
  • Responsible for entry of necessary data into ERP database system, in a timely fashion.
  • Keep current, legible, complete, and accurate records of all weights, measures, techniques, and procedures followed or performed in a laboratory notebook or record system.
  • Read scientific literature with accuracy and understanding.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to accomplish project goals and milestones.
  • Prepare and present project updates to manager and colleagues.
  • May attend conferences and present posters.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the Life Sciences.
  • Experience: 5 years (with Bachelor’s), 3 years (with Master’s) relevant lab experience including antibody production, purification, and characterization.
  • Computer Skills: High proficiency in reporting and data analysis software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Understanding of cell culture and recombinant antibody production.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational, oral and written communication skills.
  • Availability to work on-site in Ann Arbor during normal business hours.
