An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Clinical Psychologist/ Counselling Psychologist/ Psychological Therapist to join our specialist psychological staff service (the Staff Psychological Centre) for a full time permanent post. The post holder will be expected to work in hybrid working where there will be requirements for face to face in person treatment interventions, and will be dependent on the needs of the service.

The successful candidate will work using trauma informed care approaches and principles, which are patient-centred and grounded in principles of empathy, collaboration, and shared decision-making, around treatment formulations and planning and to help achieve improved outcomes. The Post holder will work with the Head of Service & Consultant Clinical Psychologist and also with other highly specialist psychologists/ psychological practitioners.

The post holder will be expected to offer individual and /or group treatments based on specialist psychological interventions (e.g. Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, IPT, Integrative approaches, EMDR, CFT, IPT, Post Critical Incident interventions etc.) to CNTW employees experiencing mental health difficulties. These may be related to work or non-work events, leading to complex traumas and other difficulties related to interpersonal, relational, long COVID, depression, anxiety, complex grief, bereavement, to name a few. The post holder will meet the standards of proficiency and essential competencies as a psychological practitioner. The post holder will also demonstrate their ability to draw on appropriate knowledge and skills to inform practice, be aware of the impact of culture, equality and diversity on their practice, understand the concept of leadership and its application to practice, undertake a range of psychological interventions from triages, assessments, trauma informed co-produced formulations and psychological therapy treatments. There may be some leadership opportunities to assist with service development and promotion. The post holder may also have opportunities to take part in training events and consultations to internal departments
