Head of ASEAN Sales (Automotive Aftermarket) in Singapore

Responsibilities

  • Guide, monitor the implementation of the growth drivers to ensure the planned levels of GP% by defining and managing commercial levers.
  • Evaluate and design the scheme of commercial discount, customer loyalty incentive program to reduce the sales reduction while supporting the business growth.
  • Review the agent performance, push for sales target achievement.
  • Lead the sales forecast for budget and strategy plan.
  • Manage the relationship with channel partners (Distributors, Spare Part Generalists and Specialists) to maximize the business with existing and prospective customers while ensuring profitability.
  • Identify and monitor the trends in each market and analyze competition.
  • Define opportunities & risks from the market analysis.
  • Initiate the action plan for the new market development, market penetration, new product launch.
  • Define the targets for key accounts, analyze the sales trend, GP% and profitability by account/product group/region.
  • Report regularly (monthly, quarterly, yearly) to the regional sales head on all the above points with focus on growth drivers, preparing and proposing business cases to seize opportunities and mitigation plans to reduce risks impacts.
  • Cooperate with Marketing, Product Management, Controlling, Quality and Operations to support the profitable sales development.
  • Visit customers to maintain and improve relationship with our business partners.
  • Provide pricing guidance to support Premium Brand positioning, First-to-Market and sustainable growth.
  • Direct market research on various products & competitors.
  • Attend applicable industry events and participates in national, regional and customer trade shows to support achieving the sales target.
  • Coach, manage and motivate the sales teams and define training needs accordingly.

Requirements

  • Experience in strategic planning and business development (Automotive Aftermarket).
  • Good understanding of automotive industry, products, sales channels & marketing.
  • Solid knowledge of Finance, reporting systems and global business process.
  • Strong Communication & Presentation Skills.
  • Good command of MS tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.), SAP experience as plus.
  • Excellent English and local language (plus) skills.
  • Customer and solution oriented.
  • Team leader with good coordination experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to identify and sell win-win scenarios.
  • Proven record of successfully growing a business with expanded customers and markets.
  • Demonstrated track record of working with customers, peers, and management to accomplish both long and short term goals.
  • Be “Hands – on”, and have a strong ability to learn and accept different opinion.
  • Exposure to Corporate Management.
  • Project and Remote team management & coordination abilities.
  • Intensive travelling is required, especially in ASEAN Region.
  • Trading & Automotive industry experience.
