We are seeking a Lead Concept Artist who is passionate about visual storytelling and excels in a collaborative, dynamic setting.

Role Overview

The Lead Concept Artist will be instrumental in defining the visual style of our upcoming hero shooter game. This role allows for remote work and requires someone who can inspire and guide a team of artists to translate visions into compelling game visuals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the visual style and conceptual art of the game.
• Create a wide range of concept art, including character designs, environments, and props.
• Collaborate closely with the Art Director and other team leaders to align artistic visions with the game’s narrative and technical requirements.
• Provide guidance, feedback, and mentorship to concept art team members, fostering a creative and cohesive environment.
• Ensure consistency and quality across all concept outputs.
• Participate in the recruitment and development of the concept art team.
• Manage timelines and deliverables for the concept art department, ensuring milestones are met efficiently.
  
  

Ideal Candidate

• Advanced degree in Fine Arts, Illustration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in concept art, with 2 years in a leadership role.
• Extensive portfolio demonstrating proficiency in a variety of styles and mediums.
• Expertise in digital painting and drawing tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar.
• Strong understanding of composition, color theory, and lighting.
• Exceptional ability to conceptualize ideas through sketching and rendering.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and team management skills.
• Passion for games and a deep understanding of visual storytelling in a gaming context.
