Head of Capital Management & Special Projects

The Generali Investments Holding CFO function is looking for the Head of Capital Management & Special Projects whose main responsibilities will be:

• Coordinate the Capital Planning process, with focus on capital and cash integration and optimization, capital management actions, capital plan monitoring and reporting
• Define the GIH sub-group’s Capital Allocation framework, the Own Funds projection and implement the related tools
• Develop and maintain policies and guidelines on Capital Management, supporting their local implementation
• Manage the framework of Remittance and Capital Injections Process
• Coordinate capital implications and assessment for M&A transactions
• Manage proactively the GIH sub-group’s capital structure to achieve strategic and financial objectives and maximize financial returns
• Support capital allocation decisions for the different initiatives within the framework of the GIH sub-group strategic and financial objectives
• Manage the GIH sub-group shareholdings in terms of finance activities involving valuations, impairment tests, management of put options
• Support the CFO in the management of special projects assigned to the CFO function, acting as PMO, ensuring a proper steering across the different entities

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Have a Bachelor Degree in finance, mathematics or alike disciplines with a strong quantitative focus or have a proven record of having acquired such skills through work experience
• Minimum 8 years of experience in finance, risk management, ALM function, of which at least 3 years of people management experience
• Excellent understanding of balance sheet, regulatory capital matters and capital performance metrics
• Good understanding of Corporate Legal and Tax matters
• Advanced knowledge of standard software (Excel incl. VBA, Word, PowerPoint)
• Be fluent in English both in writing and in speaking

• Excellent attitude to critical thinking is needed in order to be able to analyze topics from different perspectives, summarize the full picture, targeting top management representation standards
• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to maintain and develop collaborative business relationships with internal stakeholders

The Capital Management & Special Projects Team will be part of the CFO function, and the role of Head of Capital Management & Special Projects will directly report to the GIH CFO. Its main mission is to drive a wide capital management culture, focused on effective planning and continuous optimization of capital, as well as on ongoing monitoring and review of capital performance and remittance.
