The exponential growth of EdTech products in recent years has left decision-makers - governments, schools, investors, parents, and teachers - overwhelmed with choices but with no clear criteria for assessing quality. EdTech Tulna aims to change this by establishing the gold standard for excellence in EdTech products. Rooted in pedagogical principles, content design, and technology, the evaluation index empowers decision-makers to select high-quality EdTech and shield users from ineffective content.
These criteria are adaptable across different curriculums, use-cases, and geographies, offering a universal standard for evaluation. EdTech companies can leverage these standards to enhance the effectiveness of upcoming products. Over the last two years, Tulna has been received positively by both the product ecosystem and institutional adopters like the state governments. Tulna is poised to drive quality and evidence-led agenda in the EdTech ecosystem, both in India and globally
Key responsibilities will include:
Research and design:
Develop new frameworks for emerging EdTech products
Conduct research and write research papers on the build, implementation and impact of Tulna
Scale Product evaluations
Plan and execute various aspects of the evaluation cycle including product demos, interrater reliability, independent evaluations, detailed product evaluation reports
Oversee and manage team of scientists who will build out and expand the Tulna tool
Government/Institution adoption
Ensure fidelity of Tulna adoption for government product selection
Design and lead training plan for evaluators
Lead the creation of training resources
Analyse and document insights from the field that will strengthen adoption process
Communications
Lead communications around Tulna, and oversee the organisation of events to build awareness around the project (conferences, workshops etc.)
Provide expert inputs on Tulna to build awareness around the project and encourage adoption in government meetings, fundraising meetings etc.
Essential qualifications include:
M. Tech. 1st class/ M.Sc. in science/engineering/ MS (R)/ (MA/MCom/Mdes) equivalent 6 years experience
OR
Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate discipline
2-3 years of experience working in the EdTech space, as a consultant / SME
Desirable qualifications include:
● Strong exposure to the Edtech, Learning or Curriculum design, or educational consulting; knowledge of global educational technology trends
● Skilled in research design, data analysis, communication/synthesis
● Experience in product management and growth roles is desired, especially from EdTech or Curriculum or Education related field
● Outstanding communication skills to represent TULNA as expert in senior stakeholder forums/workshops
