Local process owner for NPI, NSI, CPI and cost reduction processes.
Own portfolio and oversee execution of NSI, NPI, CPI, cost reduction and strategy projects, ensuring time, cost, quality, and customer value targets are established and met.
Lead large NSI & CPI projects to ensure they are on time, within budget, and aligned with the product strategy.
Assist in prioritizing NSI / CPI projects based on enterprise impact and objectives.
Collaborate closely with Core Component US-based section leads on project execution.
Identify and execute improvement opportunities that exist across each of the different processes and executing strategies to address them.
Coach and mentor technical staff on NPI, NSI, CPI and cost reduction processes for the team.
Support program project plans as part of traditional product development cycles.
Participate and present program status of the design to key stake holders, and senior leadership.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 8 years of relevant work experience progressively responsible job-related experience are typically required.
Minimum of 2 years of component design or validation experience
Good functional knowledge on Core Engine Components system & subsystems
Previous working knowledge of NSI, NPI and CPI process
Strong interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, and demonstrated excellent communication skills
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot component failures while under tight timeline and customer pressures.
Self-starter with good multitasking skills to optimize and deliver desired results under challenging requirements of quality, cost (development and product), and timelines
Program/project management and strong organizational skills
Top Candidates Will Also Have
Experience leading NTI, NPI, or CPI projects with proven results.
Previous experience with core engine components or engine sub systems.
Experience in leading problem resolution consensus meetings
Experience managing multiple programs to break down roadblocks to meet program deliverables
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to creatively solve issues (NSI, NPI / CPI corrective actions)
Good mechanical aptitude
Experience with FMEA boundary diagram development, interaction analysis and DVP&R
Knowledge of other functions that provide inputs regularly, i.e., Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations.
