Job Description

30097 – DRILLING SUPERVISOR

At Eni, we are looking for a Drilling Supervisor within Eni Ghana Exploration and Production Limited in Offshore Ghana. You will be managing well construction activities onboard the offshore unit in accordance with company well integrity standards, ensuring full compliance with the highest HSE requirements and procedures (including logistic and marine aspects) during the planning and execution phase of well construction activities, while ensuring cost effectiveness of well operations.

As a member of the Well Operations department you will be responsible for:

  • Preparation and execution of drilling and completion operation according to well program
  • Monitoring of drilling and completion progress and costs
  • Ensuring that well operations are conducted in compliance with HSE requirements
  • Coordinating drilling & completion contractors offshore
  • Preparation of handover document from D&C to Production Department
  • Interfaces between Drilling department and Production, Reservoir, Exploration and Subsea Facilities departments for offshore operations
  • Ensuring well integrity during well operations
  • Participating as Incident Commander on scene during emergencies on the rig.

Main activities

  • Overseeing offshore well construction activities, including HSE, budgets, targets and manpower
  • Ensuring effective offshore well construction group organization and prioritization of activities
  • Ensuring well integrity operations are conducted offshore
  • Establishing a prudent well construction process
  • Ensuring the achievement of technical objectives in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner
  • Verifying and approving all well site/operational/handover documentation
  • Defining the technical specification for well related procurement service and equipment
  • Communicating the company’s HSE culture and requirements to own team and other operators, to ensure full adherence to Company’s Health, Safety and Environment policies, procedures and standards, as well as full compliance with country’s legislation, providing safe and healthy conditions of work
  • Ensuring that all well activities are carried out within the given time and cost budget
  • Coordinating Logistic and Marine activities to fulfil scope of work
  • Checking and validation of contractors’ performance and field tickets
  • Reinforcing WOP onshore personnel, if needed.

This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent/High school diploma
  • Extensive Oil and Gas industry experience
  • Significant experience in coordination of sub-sea/deep water well operations
  • Valid IWCF and HUET/BOSIET
  • Required knowledge:
    • Drilling Activities: Sub-sea Drilling Operation, Horizontal Drlg, Dril. Fluids & Cement &Cem. Op.Design/Operat., Well Drilling experience, Lean Profile, Underbalance Drilling, Coil Tubing Drilling, Extended Reach Drilling, Hp/Ht Drilling, Simultaneous Drilling, Wellbore Stability/Sand Production /Prediction&Control
    • Completion Activities: Completion activity and workover Operation, Well Testing (Oil), Well Testing (Gas), Gravel Pack, Dual Completion, Perforating Technique, Compl.& WO experience, Advanc.Compl.-WO-Rigless: Intelligent Completions Deep Water: offshore experience during Deep Water Drilling and Subsea Completion/Work-Over (SSXT installation)
    • Logistics & Planning Study: marine vessels and personnel movements’ coordination
    • HSE: Offshore HSE standards. Incident investigation process.
  • Fluent in English language (written and spoken)
  • Ability to work effectively with people from multiple cultures and backgrounds
  • Strong communication, managerial, problem solving and influencing skills.
