ABOUT THE COMPANY:

iVascular is a fast growing company founded in 2010 in Barcelona (Spain) with the aim of developing medical devices and therapies for the treatment of disorders of the vascular system and to become a reference in the vascular field by enhancing the value of technology and innovation.

The team that started iVascular has more than 30 years of experience in the field of vascular devices, being responsible for obtaining one of the first CE marks for a drug-eluting stent more than 20 years ago.

We are currently looking for a Materials Chemist to join our team and help us in the development of new products and materials for the Company.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Have an initial training with our Paristech partners, to gather all the knowledge needed to bring added value to the R D profects of iVascular.
• Operate the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) for advanced material studies.
• Investigate the microstructure, defects and chemical compositions of metals, alloys, and medical implants using ex-situ and in-situ methods.
• Assist in routine maintenance and troubleshooting of SEM equipments.

JOB PROFILE:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Master’s degree in Materials Science or a similar field.
• Basic knowledge of electron microscopy and hands-on experience with SEM operations.
• Good communication skills and teamwork.
• Ability to perform simple electronic repairs and mechanical tasks such as welding, component replacement, and custom sample holder design.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Availability for a temporary stance to work at Paristech (1 to 3 years stance at France).
