Role Summary
The Pinjar and Regional Technical Officer is a newly created opportunity based from our Pinjar site, with frequent travel to Synergy remote operation sites such as Kalgoorlie and Mungarra.
This role is pivot in carrying out high level technical, commercial, and supervisory activities associated with the operation and maintenance of the Pinjar and Regional Gas Turbine Plants both within and external to Synergy.
Reporting to the Technical Team Lead, the Technical Officer will primarily be responsible for planned and corrective maintenance and outage activities at Gas Generations Regional sites.
Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include
Undertake operations and maintenance work at the Pinjar and Regional Gas Generation locations
Plan, supervise/coordinate or carry out activities, associated with manufacture, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance/repair of equipment and systems as required
Carry out technical inspection, prepare reports with recommendations and/or arrange necessary action
Manage maintenance outage projects in accordance with budget, to time targets whilst maintaining quality standards and develop, authorise, and apply isolations and Permit to Work required for maintenance and outage execution
Supervise, monitor performance, coordinate, and check works carried out by staff, contractors and consultants
What You’ll Bring
Certificate IV or above in relevant discipline
A trade certificate in Electrical and/or Mechanical discipline
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of Gas Turbines
Strong knowledge of inspection/testing practices and experienced in equipment maintenance/repair practices
Skilled in Power Generation equipment commission/operation practice
